This week we started reading A book called The Mines Afire! It's about the Brunner Mine disaster. We have not actually started reading the book just the historical notes at the end then we had to Answer some questions. Here is my slide `

Reflection Wk9 2017 T1

This week for my follow up from reading is to research some Maori words and tell the teachers what they mean this was a little bit hard but it was really fun. WALT: to use the Maori dictionary and find out the meaning of all the words that got set. 1 more thing Kai means food Here it is. NSL To make sure I do Kai right

Typing Reflection
This week for typing I have been playing monkey climber 2 it is a game when you have to type letters to get higher but if you type the wrong letter you will have to start again. Trust me I hate it when it happens. here it is.

Math's Reflection 

I have been doing a quiz it was hard but I did it with Trent and we got 10 out of 10! it was so cool all that maths work paid off. Here is what we did. We went to a site that the teacher gave us then we got a buddy (Trent was mine) after that we did the quiz and finally we put our results in a google drawing. Here it is. NSL (Next step learning) to try and get to the highest level in the game. NSL To get a harder quiz and get all the questions right.

Literacy

This week for Literacy I have been creating a nail polish for the warden from our book Holes. I think next time I could write a bit more. 

Maths
This week for maths I have been doing some math's buddy and if you don't know what math's buddy is it is a site that you can do maths and other stuff. My goal for next time is to try earn a gold medal.

Reading

This week for reading we have been doing some fluency and punctuation and we had to present it anyway we wanted and we had a buddy my buddy was James and we presented it by using a google slide because all the other sites we tried using we didn't know how to use the sites so we just used a slide. so here it is 

Writing (Part 1)

This week for writing we have been doing some work on Mummies and we had one site for it here the site is SITE! click embalming or wrapping to see more about that topic. and we had a group of four my buddies were Kaleb, Felix ,Isaiah and Alex (ME) and then we got parts me and Isaiah got the embalming part and Kaleb and Felix got the wrapping part. But that is part one so here part one is. 

Writing (Part 2)

So this is part 2 of my Mummies adventure. For this part we had to pick a buddy my buddy was Morgan After we had a buddy we had to pick 2 extra Mummie parts we picked opening mouth tool and nut then we had to use a site to find this SITE! click the Mummies to find out the part see if you can find the opening mouth tool and the nut comment below this post  if you do. so then we had to find out information about the rest of the parts of the Mummies. The parts are Canopic jars, Scarab, Collar and Linen here is my one.

This week for reading we have been doing some explanation burgers which is a burger that has all the things we need for a good explanation this is what we did. We got a buddy my buddy was Rikki-Lee then we had to read a book called fish drive and then we had to find out what a fish drive was so when we found out we had to fill in the burger. Reading

For reading this week we did punctuation and we had to tell what the punctuation is used for. Here are some kinds of punctuation ? , . : ; ' ¨ ! {} [] <> /. there is lots of kinds of punctuation. For this piece of work we had to highlight the piece of punctuation red so I will show you what I mean here is my one. Next step learning my next step learning is to know more kinds of punctuation

Reading Reflection W5 T3

   Reading

For reading this week we have been doing some reading. I am in the fluency group and we did a screen cast of using the right punctuation and I think I did good but I can  improve on it also we did a let´s eat grandma thing. so we had to answer some questions like what does the first sentence mean and the first sentence is let´s eat grandma. The next question is let´s eat, grandma but it means something else because it has a comma. the last question was write 2 of your own examples of misuse punctuation like im so excited here are both of my activates. 

                   

                                                                      

Wk 4 reflection

READING This week for maths we have been doing some inferring like a weather one when it will be 45 degrees today and we had a few things we needed to answer. Our WALT: was to explain the meaning of events it was easy but fun it took about 10 minutes here is an example  


WRITING for writing we were writing a article about Charlotte's web here is our WALT: we are learning to use who what when why it was hard but fun i loved it here is my cool one

Early in the cold frosty morning at Mr Zuckerman's(owner of the farm) barn Lurvey( the farm helper) went to feed the pigs and when he was Wilbur (the pig) and Lurvey seen

A web in the corner of the door and seen a word on the web and it said some pig “I wonder what that means I better go get Mr Zuckerman”. Mr Zuckerman and Lurvy came running into the barn and Lurvey said “there up there can you see it some pig” “yes I see it” said Mr Zuckerman “what does this mean” said  Mr Zuckerman and they kept repeating for a few hours and then Mr Zuckerman said “we don't have a normal pig we have a mystery pig we better report this” “but first let's go to bed” said Lurvy “ok” said Mr Zuckerman

NUMERACY
For numeracy we did a screencastify of what we have learnt. Our WALT:is to get some problems and screencastfiy them it was so cool it was a little bit hard next time i will add more detail because i didn't  use much but it was still super fun
