Day 1: Explorers

Today for my list of Snacks/Foods/Drinks for this task I have chosen a very non expire and healthy diet becasue I have tried to think of the benifits of these foods/Drinks The Reason for number 3 is becasue you cannot light a fire on a boat to get the salt water into normal water. I hope you enjoy my list

1.  Cans of dried beans becasue they do not expire

2. Peanuts For a salty snack

3. Bottles of water Becasue you need water that is not salt water

4. Oranges to keep your vitamin c up (Vitamin c can help with things like High blood pressures and Fights heart disease

5. Cheese to keep you vitamin d up (Vitamin D helps our body absorb Calcuim which is good for our bones)

6. Powdered milk Becasue you can just add water and it does not expire in powder form

7. Spinach becasue people think it is one of the Healthist vegtables

8. Sour Dough bread becasue it is really healthy and is a good snack to rashin and add some other ingredints too so that you can eat your food more joyfully

9. Cookies or biscuts becasue they are a sweet snack and you want to have salty and sweet food for your diet

10. Honey becasue it never expires it is a sweet snack and you can put it in your sandwichs or on bread 

Tech

This week for tech we made truffles we did not get to finish them but we are ready to finish them next week the reason we made truffles is were making a aroha box which is a box of love which we are going to give to someone we care about my 3d decoration is a pug we also have to make a candle since my nickname is cookie so I am making a cookie

Wearable arts

For the last couple of weeks we have been working on wearble arts we are still working on our wearable arts our idea is coming along good at first none of our group wanted to work but now we are all trying to get it done right now we are trying to laser cut our designs onto carboard so that we can start making some boxes for our costume here are our designs

This week we did a task where we watched some of the wizard of oz and we had to read the subtitltes and it would get paused at a certian point and we would have to write down the subtitle before screen paused Here are the subtitles I got

Blog reflection

Kia Ora, World this term has been a great term there was camp speeches production practice and all sorts but my favourite thing about this term was about production I love doing the production because I get to get out there and just speak and do actions at first I did not like it but now it is fun because I did not know my lines or actions but now it is a lot more fun. I'm also very proud of myself for getting a main part in the production my role is bernard an old guy that can be a bit of a mean person sometime’s

Next term I would like to work on getting my basic facts under 2 minutes and mastering my lines actions and dance for production. I would also like to continue my goal on 100 blog post’s. And to get on team time next term

Argument #2 Recycling is essential

In The holidays I write an Argument of Recycling is essential I think we need to keep Recycling but here is my Argument 

Do you think recycling is Essential? well think  imagine a world when there is no recycling would you like that? Imagine the amount of rubbish. We need to stop landfills stop animals from dying because of plastic bags and other rubbish there are so many ways we can keep our world clean 

 If u do not recycle then there would be a lot of animals that would die because they would eat rubbish like dolphins and turtles will mistake plastic bags and think they are jellyfish because of the movement of the bag in the water that means so many animals are gonna die according to the ocean crusaders over 100,000 sea animals die a year from rubbish those innocent animals that are dying it's not there fault it's our fault 

There's so many things we can do to stop rubbish like dolphins and turtles won't eat plastic bags and die if we use reusable bags like look at new world they still have plastic bags but they also have Reusable bags but the thing is the bags are gonna cost at the start but then you won't have to pay so that will be good

Chapter 1 See Ya Simon

Today we started reading a new book called see ya Simon we read the first chapter then we had to answer some questions but just so you know about the book Im going to type out the stuff on the back of the book

Chapter One

When did Simon get his new chair?  In the holidays At the start of fourth form is when he got his electric chair  

How long can Simon’s chair run for before its batteries need recharging? Simon’s electric chair can for 2 - 3 days

Where did Simon’s chair stop (the batteries packed up) on the first day of school? Simon’s Electric chair Packed up on a road in the middle of it and on the soccer field at school when he got tangled up in the net.

Nathan says Simon is an expert at doing what? Simon is good at embarrassing people

What does Nathan describe his class photograph as? Prison portrait

What is Nelita’s answer to the question, “How do you know when you are old?” When the candles for your cake cost more than your cake

                                        

What is the effect on the class of Simon saying that we won’t get to old age? His classmates got very quiet and shocked also lucky

Summary of Chapter One:

In this chapter Simon gets his new wheelchair and it stops in the middle of a crossing. Then his friend Nathan has to push him to school. Simon also scores a goal in soccer but gets caught in the net and his batteries die. I thought this chapter was cool but sad just because Simon says that he won't get to old age.

Today we read more of the book it was quite sad because  Tommy Carter's uncle and friends died and also lots of other people. They found his da (dad) was badly injured from the after damp.
